Greater Things Are Yet To Come...

Day Two: Everyone woke up well rested and full of energy! After breakfast, we traveled to a neighboring community named Bitola. Bitola is the location of the church that some of our participants will be working at on Thursday. We met with Tefig, a Roma Pastor, who talked about God’s vision for that church. The church is located in an area that is predominately Roma. Tefig described the people who would attend that church and his hopes for what God WILL and CAN do using that building.

When we finished viewing the building our students broke off into their groups. The groups spent a few hours prayer walking around Bitola. They prayed for peace, open minds, willing hearts, God’s covering, and for God to move in a way that only He can. This was a powerful time for students and chaperones. It was just as powerful to watch. In Bitola the streets leave very little room for more than one car to travel down at a time…our group spread down and over most of one road. We caused a small traffic jam. J The impact was huge-visually, physically, and spiritually.

We arrived back to camp and began ministry training. We had crews working on puppet ministry, a wordless drama, sorting salvation bracelets, building Evangecubes, and preparing children’s crafts. We are all SO excited to begin using all of our training and all of our ministry items tomorrow! The Roma families will arrive around 10am (Macedonia time) on Monday morning. Please be in prayer for us, for this ministry, and for the Roma. We are expecting God to move in BIG ways!

The students and leaders have had an exhausting day, but they continue to smile! Would you like to make them smile even more? Leave a comment on this blog and we’ll show them during our worship time!
Thank you…thank you…thank you for ALL of your love, your prayers, and your support. God IS doing incredible things here. Keep checking back…MORE to come.

  3. Sup, PCC? I just wanted to say that I'm super proud of you guys, and I can't wait to hear all about the magical things you are doing when you return!

Also, just wanted to do a little virtual awkward jellyfish for my bros who know what I mean...

  4. Ah, wow....we had a moment today at PCC where Angie read some words about what it REALLY means to surrender. We had just sung the song "Surrender"...and as Angie read, we showed photos of your last trip to Macedonia (and Belize photos as well). Angie talked about how just as we were singing about surrender, you guys had actually SURRENDERED: your time, your resources, your energy your talent - all to serve as Jesus did.

I am blown away by your selflessness. Please know I'm praying for you tonight, and will be doing so in the morning as well. Praying that people will COME and that God will MOVE.

Shout out to Syd and Shan...we love you! We are at Emerald Isle right now with your brothers, Nathan and Mason...and we miss you...

    Hugs...

  5. So I found you are 6 hours ahead of us, that will help me pray for you. That means that 10 am your time is 4 am our time! I will pray for those families who are arriving at 10 am before I go to sleep...because I probably won't be up at 4. But you never know. If I am up at 4 am I will pray even more for you!

thank you for sacrificing your July 4 holiday...the hot dogs and burgers, the fireworks and fun, to serve the children and their parents in a far off land. You are opening the doors for them to enjoy a freedom even more eternal and precious than the one we celebrate in America!

    Blessings to you all...Connie

  6. Thanks for being an example of what it means to surrender. When I was a new Christ-follower, I always wondered how the organizers of events like this could know that God would show up. I mean, what if everyone went to all of this work and effort and sacrifice, and God decided that he didn't want to join in?

I finally figured out that God is waiting for people like you and me to make the move toward Him and make the sacrifice for him. When we do that, He ALWAYS shows up.

Here's to praying for and KNOWING that God will show up in response to your surrender to Him and bless you as you bless His Roma people!

Love and Blessings from John, Tricia and Eli Tiller!

  10. It's so awesome to know that soon you'll be meeting your new Roma families and all the preparation you're doing today will make lasting memories for them. Just like each of you, in your special ways, have done with your families! This 4th of July we will miss you not being here doing the eating and celebrating with us, but as a PCC family doing God's work, you are going to bless and be blessed in amazing ways. With love & prayers, Peggy
